When I read news such as "Study: Shorter Men More Likely to Be Jealous", and "Being underweight may raise diabetes risk", I cannot help thinking that these researchers seem to have no topics that could meaningfully contribute to the world. Instead they dream up with topics, spend the money, and use wrong statistical methods. It's like the blind men touching elephants, some say, it's like a large cylinder (for the leg), others say it's like a huge fan (for the ear).... In sciences, very often, conclusions are drawn without understanding the circumstances.

There are frequently "scientific studies" demonstrating the benefit of alcohol for the heart. The problem is that people try to make conclusions based on the effect of a single aspect of a food, without either considering the whole effects. I'm sure you may put to test other blood warming c

Many "experts" would give advice on eating healthy foods such as whole grains, vegetables, fruits, etc. They also single out special high nutrients foods such as oats.
However, they often ignore to tell you that a really healthy food can be made really unhealthy! The most common enemy is cooking. High temporature breaks down complex carbohydrates into simple sugar (or starchy), and kills all food enzymes and many nutrients. So you'd think oats, or beans, or sweet potatoes, or whole grains are good stuff. But when you cook it into starchy form, it lost most of the value! Similarly, raw vegetable is very nutritious. But through cooking, it becomes starchy and loses a lot of nutrients, and all its enzymes.

It's known that estrogen dominance, or sex hormone imbalance, is one of the major biomarker of aging, as well as a root cause of breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. It is further researched that just as the ratios between testosterone and DHT is critical in men, the ratio of 2-hydroxyestrone and 16-alpha-hydroxyestrone in both men and women is very important. 16's is much more potent than 2's. As we age, the ratio changes, causing degenerative diseases such as cancer. A good article to discuss about this is found here by New Spirit Naturals. There are saliva test to measure the ratio, and supplementation method to balance it.
